The majority of the class lay flat on the floor screaming their heads off. Only a few dared to look at the massive hole in the wall. Sunlight poured in making it hard to see the figure in the new opening. It wasn't tall enough to be an adult but it didn't look like a kid either, it was just there, in a fighting stance, as though it was ready for action. A loud 'BOOM' shook the ground below, bits of rubble fell from the ceiling at the holes edge, causing the children to scream and cry louder than before. One of the kids on the floor dared to move closer, covering his forehead to shield himself and get a better look at what was going on. Another kid followed unable to hold in her curiosity.
Without turning the person blocking the mouth of the wall put up an opposing hand and both kids stopped in their tracks. Over the sound of falling plasterboard, concrete and rubble they heard it say: "Get everyone back to the other end of the building where you'll be safe, it's not over." Its voice sounded composed, young; as though a child had said the words. Another 'BOOM' filled the air and the room shook. The two kids dived to the floor and into the shadow cast by the unknown figure. It dived out of the hole, barrel rolling in the air first and straightening like a arrow, then disappeared out of view. The classmates nearest the hole looked at each other bewildered, in total disbelief of what they just saw.
"Was that-?" Dean tried to ask.
"No way!" Gina replied, her face a picture of amazement.
